Receiving The Cold Weather

Today’s post is about receiving the cold weather. I bet most of you, like me, were anxiously waiting for the cold front to receive it with style. I’ve always loved fashion always getting those magazines to see what’s trending or what’s coming in new never really have had the fortune of buying every piece of clothing I’ve felt in love with. And now with three daughters it’s even harder. I love it that I have all girls I get to dress them up but it’s hard to get a nice pic out of them always running around.

Okay so now this is how I received the cold weather. The moment I found out that the cold front was coming I was like “yes… I’ll finally be able to wear those cute booties and my new leather jacket.” I’m in love with my jacket! It’s been two years that I’ve been obsessed with light pink and rosegold colors and the moment I bumped into this cute ass jacket I grabbed it and didn’t let go of it. Now here I am styling it out. I purchased the whole outfit at Ross. Except for the boots I bought those a year ago at Melrose. I styled my hair with my swirl curler I just received a few days ago from Xtava. And made a Smokey eye look with my Clarins eyeshadow forest green palette.

So what do you guys think of this look? How should I call it? And how did you all received the cold weather?

Step by Step: Comic Wonder Woman Halloween Makeup Look 2017

Hey guys so I decided to write this post because of the positive feedback that I received on my social media accounts. I’ll be showing you step by step how to recreate this Comic Wonder Woman Halloween makeup look.

  1. First I  went in and drew my crown and the star inside the crown using my WetnWild white eyeliner. *I think it’s easier to draw first your design with a white eyeliner pencil Incase you make a mistake you can simply just rub it off and you don’t make a mess.*
  2. I then traced the white lines with the WetnWild black eyeliner pencil.
  3. With my elf foundation brush got a few drops from Garnier BB Cream and filled in the inside of my crown at the same time cleaning a bit my little mistakes made with the black eyeliner pencil. I decided to use this product because it has a little yellow tone to it and it would help my shimmer pop out a bit more at the same time working as a glue keeping the shimmer in place.
  4. Using a QTip I dipped it in to my L.A. Colors shimmering loose eyeshadow in the color Radiant and carefully placed a few coats onto the foundation before the foundation dried into place. *Do not rub the shimmer just tap it on or you will end up with a matte finish.*
  5. I got my Clarins red lipliner pencil and filled in the star with it.
  6. I decided to go over my black lines with my Clarins Graphic Ink Liner in intense black for a more intense look and helping the shimmer and the red colors pop out more.

I first drew in my crown. I decided to do the crown first to motivate myself and know what kinda look I wanted for my eyes.

  1. First I went in with my eyebrows using my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown. I usually do a softer look but for this kind of look a went for a darker brow all I did was use extra product. To do my eyebrows I first do the outlines of my brows then I just fill in.
  2. Using my e.l.f Concealer Brush I get some of the Tarte Maracuja Creasless Concealer and put it all over my eye lids, cover my dark circles under the eyes and clean up my eyebrows. I love this product. Helps my eyeshadow stay in place for a longer period of time and covers my imperfections.
  3. Now, with my Urban Decay Heat Palette I got some product in the color Ounce which is the first one in the picture from left to right, for that I used my e.l.f. Smudge Brush and put it all over my eyelids. Then using the e.l.f. Professional Defining Eye Brush I got some product in the color He Devil and made a soft cut crease. I did not blend it in I wanted a more defining look so I left the edges in.
  4. Going for a dramatic wing I used my Clarins Graphic Ink Liner in the color intense black. I love using my Ink Liner because it’s easy to use and gives my eyes that intense look.
  5. For my water line and under the line of the bottom lashes I used my WetnWild black eyeliner and smudged it in with some of the WetnWild black eyeshadow using a round smudge (not in the picture).
  6. To finish the eye look I used my last pair of the Salon Perfect Go Glam Lashes 614. (Sigh)

  1. I primed my face with the Milani Prime Light, this primer gives you a nice glowing look.
  2. With the e.l.f foundation Brush I apply my Makeup Forever Foundation Ultra HD. I love this foundation! It’s medium coverage and you don’t get that flash back from the flash of your camera.
  3. I don’t have a counter kit, cream, or stick so I just use the Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation in the color Tan Dark 1. I use the bareMinerals full flawless face brush and apply it under my cheek bones down and under my jaw line. For the sides of my nose I just use my pinky and rub to blend it in.
  4. I then highlight with Airspun Loose Face Powder I apply it with the little sponge next to it (on the picture) under my eyes on the bridge of my nose and on top of my jaw line to get more of the contour effect and get a matte look.
  5. Next I go in with my Tarte Amazonion clay blush in the color paaarty with the bareMinerals brush and apply a soft coat to the apples of my cheeks just to get a light look of blush to my face.
  6. Now I Get a few drops from my Cover FX Custom Enhancer in the color Moonlight Using my ring finger to apply it on the line of my cheek bone and to the side of my eye like making a check mark I also apply some to the tip of my nose and on my Cupid’s bow.
  7. Once done with my face I went in with my Clarins Graphic Ink Liner and drew all the lines that gave the special effect of a Comic book picture.

  1. For the lips: my final steps I first like to apply some Maybellin Baby Lips Lip Balm to have perfect soft lips to work with.
  2. Again with my Clarins Graphic Ink Liner traced over the top of the line of my lips to get a fuller lip.
  3. I then filled in my lips with the Clarins Lipliner Pencil in the color Red to make my lipstick last longer.
  4. I went over my lipliner pencil with the Clarins lipstick in the color Deep Red to get a fuller and more intense look.
  5. To finish the look I just applied a small amount of Maybellin Eyestudio Luminizing Eyeshadow with my pinky on the center of my top and bottom lip I used the lighter colors which where the top and bottom colors in the picture above. Sorry forgot to open it for you guys to see the colors.

Almost forgot to mention I curled my hair using my ConAIR Curler. And the apps to edit my picture were facetune and VSCO.

And there it is! With  2 glasses of wine and half of my Sunday my Step by Step and the products I used to create my Comic Wonder Woman Halloween makeup look. I hope you guys get motivated and try your own. If you do please please please let me know or tag me on your picture so I can see, that would be so fun! Stay safe those of you that are going out to party or trick or treating, have fun, and enjoy!

Clarin’s Fall Look

I am beyond excited, I couldn’t wait to write this post. A few weeks ago I rated the Clarin’s Fall Look  set on Dave Lakies blog and won. Dave is a Beauty Editor and Cityline Expert. On his website he shares tips, information about beauty products and he has a weekly luxe giveaway. If you are a beauty enthusiast I encourage you to go and check out his website same as his twitter account where he constantly tweets out to his followers professional beauty tips.

Clarins is a French beauty brand and is best known for its skin care products. I personally had never heard of this brand before but now that I had the chance to try this products out I can say. I love it! Check out their website for skin care products and their makeup line

Let’s start with the Clarins 06 forest Palette 4 Couleur: the eyeshadow palette comes inside a Red velvet pouch so elegant and the Golden compact is sleek and luxuries. The product can be used wet or dry. It has a high pigmentation and lasts all day. The colors are perfect for the Fall. I made a smoky look with this palette and I must say, “wow” I love it!

Clarins 10 Ombre Matte in midnight blue is beautiful; it’s a cream-to-powder matte eyeshadow smooth and long lasting. I haven’t had a chance to use this product but I’m excited… I’m thinking on recreating one of my favorite YouTube gurus look. See how that goes!

Clarins 09 golden pink Blush Prodigy: gives you a beautiful natural look of illuminating flush on the cheeks.

Clarins 01 intense black Graphic Ink Liner: the soft felt-tip eyeliner makes it easy to use. I think this product is perfect for beginners. I say to my family and friends it’s like using a marker it gives you a precise even line. It stays on all day.

Clarins 05 roseberry Lipliner Pencil: it’s a beautiful color the pencil lipliner glides on perfectly on the lip line. Perfect for a stained effect.

Clarins 754 deep red: Moisturizing long-wearing lipstick, I love it! It has a rich creamy formula making your lips feel moisturize for hours. It doesn’t feel sticky or makes your lips look cracked. It has a good scent and its just gorgeous.

It is truely an honer to have won this fall collection set. I love it! I can’t stop saying it. Thank you again Dave! I had never won on any kind of give away before this one. I’m in love with every single item. The day I did my makeup using this products was a busy day for me and this is the best picture I have. This is my fall makeup look let me know what you guys think.

Sunshine Blogger Award Nominee

I am truely honored for being nominated on the Sunshine Blogger Award by the lovely Victoria.  She is a Blogger whith lots of varied content and some great and honest beauty product reviews, super creative and interesting! Check out her Q&A and give her a follow don’t forget to show some love 😍

1. What made you decide to start blogging?

A1: Honestly! I ‘had’ no idea why I  decided to start blogging, not until just a few days ago I was writing down my bio for my Beauty Insider profile on the Sephora app and it clicked to me. The reason is because during the transition unto changing my persona I started thinking, acting, and liking the opposite of what I used to, with that, I too changed the way I used to speak and dress. Now I love the person I’ve become, still working on becoming better though. But I want this for my daughters and the future generations. I want to bring back that Respectful, Classy and Elegant style. I know I might not make a big difference but I might get that little spark going. (I found my nitch!)

2. What’s one of your favorite childhood memories?

A2: My favorite childhood memory is when my brother and I used to jump in-to bed with my parents every morning during our winter vacations and we would spend all day watching movies. Oh how much I miss that.

3. If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and what would you name it?

A3: Oh, this one is easy! I would love to have a flying squirrel they are so cute and I think they don’t stink (lol). As for a name that one is a bit complicated for me because I’m not good with names so I would leave it up for my daughters to decide.

4. What is your dream holiday destination?

A4: I would say England but I don’t like cold. I would love to see how it looks during the holidays and feel the atmosphere with all the holiday vibes. I get excited just thinking about it.

5. Which language would you really love to learn?

A5: Ay! Thinking about the answer to this question reminds me how much I’ve been slacking off on my French learning lessons. I only finished my basics which now I only remember maybe like 10-15 words and out of those 10-15 I only know how to spell maybe like five words. I use an app called Duolingo it’s pretty good and simple to use. Shows you how to pronounce and spell the words also how to use the words in a sentence, afterwards it tests you and let you know where you need more improvement. Oh by the way it has a variety of languages to choose from. If you give it a try please do come back and let me know!

6. There’s a Zombie Apocalypse! Do you think you’d survive?

A6: Are they slow and dumb Zombies or the fast and smart Zombies? Aaah see Victoria you didn’t think I would get you back on this one lol. Either or as long as I stay next to my husband 24/7 I do think I would survive.

7. What’s your favorite thing about blogging?

A7: My favorite thing about blogging is of course meeting new people learning new stories and specially the love and support the blogging community has. 💕

8. What’s number one on your bucket list?

A8: Get to the top. That’s my number one on my bucket list. But don’t get me wrong… I want to get to my kinda top not the kinda top that society portrays for us.

9. Do you see yourself still blogging in five or ten years?

A9: I’m a spontaneous kinda person who lives by the moment so if something else comes along I probably won’t be blogging. But who knows I love and enjoy doing this so for now you’ll be seeing me around.

10. What’s your go-to movie/TV series/book/song when you need a pick-me-up?

A10: Book, it’s definitely a book; The Rose That Grew From Concrete is a collection of poetry written by Tupac Shakur. It has been my go-to ever since my teen years.

11. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A11: If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be in the country side of Texas, England, or Italy.

Independence Day (Dia De La Independencia) 🇲🇽

Before I start I want to apologies to my fellow bloggers because I haven’t been active this past weeks, as some of you may know I suffered from a great loss my grandfather past away on August the 29th it has been hard on us.. My mind was blank and my heart broken as I once tweeted. I had not written any post this is actually my first since The Blogger Recognition Award or have read any books (just finished a short read a few days ago) since his last week at the hospital up until now as some of you guys might understand you have no mind or space for nothing else than the pain you carry within. I want to thank you all beforehand for your understanding. Also want to thank those of you who send me your kind words, it meant a lot. 💕

Fun Fact: I’m Mexican and proud.. 😎 My roots are Mexican my grandparents my momma and Dad. I was born Mexican American in Texas (South Texas). Call it Tex-Mex.

Independent Day (Dia De La Independencia)

Also known as cry of independence (El Grito De La Independencia) by Miguel Hidalgo, a leader who fought for Mexico’s Independence on September 16, 1810. Is believed to have made the cry of independence in the town of Dolores, in the north-central part of the Mexican state of Guanajuato to motivate people to revolt against the Spanish regime. He was captured and executed on July 30, 1811 by forces loyal to Spain. Mexico’s Independence was not declared until September 28, 1821. After some Spanish reconquest attempts, Spain under the rule of Isabella II recognized the independence of Mexico in 1836.

Fun Fact #2: My maternal grandparents are from Guanajuato Mexico only different town from where the cry of independence was made.

How it’s celebrated 🎉

It is celebrated with fireworks, food, music, decorations with the colors of the Mexican flag and crowds shouting “Viva Mexico”.
